OUR MISSION
At Room to Bloom Preschool & Child Care, we are committed to providing children with the highest level of care and enrichment. We have created a nurturing, stimulating, and welcoming environment where children can fully bloom!
We strive to captivate children’s interests in a natural and joyful way. We care about what children feel, how they think, and their emerging voice in the world. We ensure that each child feels cared for and safe to foster individual expression and personal growth.
We are a small community of families, children, and teachers where everyone is valued and works together to maximize the potential of every child. Our mission is to help each child develop self-confidence, gain tools for building positive relationships, and cultivate a love of learning and exploration.
OUR PROGRAMS
At Room to Bloom, we understand the importance of getting to know each child well. We value working in partnership with parents and maintaining open lines of communication. We shape our programs to best meet the needs of every child. We apply best practices based on the latest research on early childhood education to constantly evolve and improve our programs.
INFANT AND TODDLER PROGRAM
3 months to 2 years old
Our Infant and Toddler Program is designed to stimulate young minds through individual daily routines, including physical development and health, language and literacy, music and art, and social and emotional learning. Through our daily activities, we create an environment that enables young children to establish important relationships, develop concrete learning skills, and explore the world around them.
PRESCHOOL PROGRAM
3 to 5 years old
Our Preschool Program is designed to match the developmental and cognitive growth of children 3-5 years old and equip them with the skills necessary to succeed in Kindergarten. We provide an engaging and challenging curriculum focused on supporting social and emotional growth and creative expression. We encourage children to be critical thinkers who are intellectually curious and socially responsible. The program includes circle time, outdoor play, story time, art, imaginative play, cooking, learning center times, music, and Spanish.
SCHOOL AGED PROGRAM
5 years old and up
Our School Aged Program offers drop-offs and pick-ups from Monterey Hills Elementary School. Our goal is to reinforce the skills children are learning at school and offer them opportunities to practice them. Students are offered homework assistance, outdoor play, and enriching play-based activities.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
At Room to Bloom, our teachers provide a learning community where children are invited to think independently, ask questions, work collaboratively with peers, and experience learning as a joyful event. We stimulate intellectual engagement and cultivate a passion for learning through fun and active investigation of curricular themes.
We value diversity and welcome all children. We understand that children’s minds and experiences make each child unique and that they develop according to their own timetable. At Room to Bloom, children can feel safe to explore, discover, play, and create, as well as practice skills and develop a strong foundation in literacy and math reasoning.
We draw inspiration from a variety of educational philosophies, including Montessori, constructivist, and play-based approaches.
